For anyone building rustic furniture, our aluminum-body tenon cutters will cut perfect, smooth tenons with radiused shoulders.
The anodized bodies are balanced to run vibration free when driven by an electric drill and include an integral level vial for accurate in-line cutting and a built-in honing guide for easy blade sharpening. The blade is adjustable to cut the exact size of tenon required in both dry and green wood.
We offer a set of the three most popular sizes of tenon cutter, along with Paul Ruhlmann's DVD, Making Rustic Furniture (also available separately).
Paul demonstrates how to make a rustic chair with mortise and tenon joinery, from the initial harvest of saplings to weaving the seat.
Tenon cutter sizes included are 3/4", 1" and 1-1/2" diameters. Hex shanks. The two smaller sizes are for use in an electric drill with a 3/8" or larger chuck. The 1-1/2" cutter should be used with a 1/2" or larger chuck.
