Description

With this base, you can convert almost any rotary tool into a miniature plunge router for fine detail work, allowing precise depth control for hardware and inlay recesses, or even freehand relief carving. Low-slung grips and a 4" × 3" footprint make it easy to position on narrow surfaces and close to edges.

A cutaway in one side lets you see the exact position of the bit. Depth of cut is controlled with a stop post with a micro-adjust screw; you can plunge as needed, or lock in the depth using a lever for continuous cuts.

Grooves near the base let you hold and guide the tool using just your fingertips while keeping your palms close to the work for excellent control. Made largely from aluminum with stainless-steel rods and knobs, it fits onto the 3/4-12 threaded collar found on most rotary tools (including most full-size Dremel tools). Patented.

This plunge base can also be purchased as part of a set with a fence and center kit, precision adjuster and 12" fence rods.

Made in Canada.
