Like the regular CamJam cord tightener we've offered for years, this high-strength version lets you tension and secure thicker ropes quickly and without having to tie complex knots. With a working load limit of 500 lb and a breaking strength of 1500 lb, it's a robust carabiner-style clip suitable for securing ropes subject to significant loading, yet is quick and easy to operate and adjust.
With the clip end anchored to a fixed D-ring, loop or grommet, simply feed a rope (1/8"/3mm up to 3/8"/9mm in diameter) through the body and pull firmly until taut. The cam-action stop locks the rope in place, holding the tension so the rope stays snug until you release it by lightly pressing the stop lever.
About 3 3/4" long, it is made of cast aluminum with a spring-loaded stainless-steel carabiner closure. A 50' hank of 3/8" single-braid polypropylene utility rope is available separately.
