2004/05 Gardening Catalog Cover   2004/05 Gardening Customer Letter

Print Catalog Cover

Dear Customer,

For many gardeners, the arrival of the first full catalog of the season is the real harbinger of spring. Just as your bulbs have consolidated energy and reserves over the winter, we too have been mustering our resources to burst forth with another season's offerings. This annual catalog consolidates our product line from the previous year's publications, and introduces numerous new items. Of the items new to this catalog, some have been added as a result of your requests, some represent recent innovations, and others are just uncommonly good value.

The smaller mesh size bird netting on page 38 has been added as a result of one customer's suggestion. The 1/2" spacing surpasses the recommended 3/4" minimum mesh-size standard to prevent bird entanglement, even if they become trapped under the net. Of course, netting should always be installed in a manner that trapping cannot occur.

The wall trellis kit on page 41 is just plain clever. Use as much or as little as you want, where you want, and in whatever configuration you want, all without damaging walls. It's one of those products that, once you see it, you know you could have used it in the past.

The folding hat on page 89 is also sure to be a favorite. Lightweight, compact, and excellent value, it provides protection from unanticipated exposure to sun, insects, or both. This is in addition to its ability to amuse and distract children – there should be one in every glove compartment.

While each of the above should hold some attraction for the neophyte and experienced gardener alike, we're sure you'll be able to find other equally indispensable new items squirreled away among the tried and true standards.

Cheers,

Robin C. Lee
President
