ago, the only available gardening space I had was the square
footage of my tiny balcony. So, I planted vegetables and flowers
together in containers. To my delight, all of the plants were
vegetables and flowers are grown together in the right combination,
interesting things can happen. Pollen and nectar from many
flower species feed predatory insects, which catch pest larvae
and feed them to their young. The roots of some plants entwine
and can help each other grow. Some plants like only certain
vegetables with flowers and herbs can create
a symbiotic relationship between the plants and can add beauty
to the garden. The best news is that it isn't hard to do.
are few vegetables I don't appreciate on my plate, but I would
encourage you to grow ones your family likes to eat. The following
are some of my favorites. Although the new and surprising
colors of some of these vegetables may seem unusual at first,
they still taste great!
