Description

Specifically engineered for sanding wooden surfaces, Ultimax Ligno combines ceramic and heat-hardened aluminum oxide grains to create a fast-cutting abrasive that leaves a consistent scratch pattern.

The abrasive particles are applied in a pattern of hourglass-shaped clusters, forming a network of channels to direct sanding debris to the dust-collection holes. This helps capture stray abrasive grains, reduces clogging and slows heat build-up due to friction, ensuring better surface finishes and longer abrasive life.

The grit is deeply embedded in a resilient resin undercoat, forming a tenacious bond with the tough, flexible latex-impregnated paper backing. The resulting abrasive is highly resistant to shedding and wear, especially at the edges, where typical abrasives tend to break down first.

For use on both hardwoods and softwoods, these 3" × 5" sheets are available in eleven grits from 40x to 400x. Each has a grip-face backing for quick changes and a multi-fit hole pattern for compatibility with any electric or pneumatic sander of the matching size, regardless of the hole configuration.

An 18-sheet sample pack of assorted grits (three each of 80x, 120x, 180x, 240x, 320x and 400x) is available separately.
