Our sale price for this odd but useful combination of indoor and outdoor tools is 65% off the manufacturer's suggested price of $19.98.
Suitable for floral care, the pruner has scissor handles and a coated carbon-steel bypass blade for controlled cuts. Cutting capacity is 3/8" (or greater for soft or hollow stems). A sharpened notch on the back of the blade cuts twine, and a built-in stem stripper removes thorns and leaves from cut flowers.
The garden knife is a multi-purpose tool with a knife edge that could do with sharpening and a serrated section for opening soil bags, slicing sod or cutting roots, and a concave trowel blade for repotting, planting or weeding. A forked tip helps extract long taproots. The 7" long blade has a large rubber-coated handle for a secure, comfortable grip. We noticed that the blade was slightly askew to the handle on some knives, but not enough to interfere with use.
