Shibori Fabric Dying
Thursday, March 21, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
 
Shibori dyeing is an ancient Japanese technique that uses folds, twists and/or bunching to create patterns. You will learn the details of creating a vat for indigo dying, tricks to key design elements of creating dye patterns and see the magic of dying with authentic indigo to create your own linen pillow. All supplies and project materials are provided. This workshop is designed as an introduction to Shibori dyeing and a precursor for creating yardage fabric for larger projects. All tools and materials supplied.

Andrea Ford is the owner of Re:Style Studio, Toronto's DIY workshop and boutique, featuring upholstery and DIY furniture. Her work has appeared in national magazines and ad campaigns. Her love of hands-on craftwork led her to create a collection of one-of-a-kind vintage and salvaged furniture. Named "Best of Toronto", 3 years running in Toronto Life Magazine.

in seminars and attendees should be 16 years old or older.
Seminar tickets are not available online.
Beverages are provided at our seminars and a light
