Beginner Woodturning
       Friday, March 29, 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
and Saturday, March 30, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

This workshop is for those who are interested in investigating the art of woodturning, as well as those who just need a refresher, since lathes, gouges and techniques have evolved over the years. This workshop will show you how the lathe functions; review the necessary safety procedures, some sharpening, and the basic techniques of using various cutting profiles for turning spindles. Over the course of the session, you will see everything demonstrated and then have time to turn a few wooden projects using the techniques you have learned. All tools and materials supplied.
Fee: $125.00

His experience in multi-axis turning includes various techniques, both with spindle and faceplate work. He is a member of the Woodturners Association of Manitoba.
