Rick Brereton has been passionate about his hobby since he started carving in 1992. He specializes in high relief carvings and in-the-round wildlife. Rick has extensive knowledge about sharpening wood carving tools. Since 1999, he has taught classes in these specialties in Canada and the U.S. Rick also judges and assists with competitions in both countries. Rick is known for his large relief wood carvings of wildlife and historical scenes, which he offers for competition and commission. His commission work includes a 6' x 4' buffalo at University of Manitoba, trophies for fishing derbies, as well as pub and cottage signs. Rick enjoys taking carving classes from internationally and nationally recognized carving instructors. He dedicates many hours to his hobby and is a driving force in wood carving.
