This single-braid utility rope has a supple, plaited polypropylene cover over a multi-filament polypropylene (MFP) core. A general-duty rope, it is strong, compact and easy to knot. Lightweight and durable, it won't absorb water or mildew as cotton ropes do and is an ideal rope for recreational boating; it floats.
The 3/8" dia. rope has a rated breaking strength of about 1740 lb with an elongation of about 35%; the 1/4" dia. rope is rated at 1100 lb with a 28% elongation.
Both are supplied in 50-foot hanks in assorted colors (no choice, unfortunately). A great value in quality rope. Made in Canada.
