With many slate projects you may need to drill holes to accommodate a cord, screws or bolts. This saw is specifically designed for drilling slate and should be used on nothing else. It gives best results when used in a drill press.
All drilling in slate is best done with water flushing to remove swarf and extend saw life by preventing overheating that can cause diamond particles to fall off. The saw comes with a description of a simple set-up that keeps water off the drill press and floor.
