What Is It?

Valued for its corrosion resistance, brass has a long been used to make household implements. Here is an attractive pair of brass charcoal tongs with scissor-style handles. This design allows them to be used with one hand and for small pieces of coal. The gripping end is ridged to enable the user to secure a better grasp of the coal. Measuring 8-1/2" from handle to tip, the tool in this photo is blackened from use.
