unclear whether this item from the Lee Valley antique tool
collection was originally intended as sheep shears or as
a gardening implement. What is clear is that they are well
suited to and have commonly been used for gardening tasks
such as cutting grass, trimming topiaries and clipping small
hedges. The vintage spring-action shears are 12" long.
The slightly angled blades allow the user to keep knuckles
away from foliage while cutting.
