Since it's harvest season, we thought it would be appropriate
to feature a kitchen item as this month's mystery tool. Those
of you familiar with a mezzaluna will be able to determine
the item's function without problem.
This antique chopping knife has a crescent blade that measures
approximately 5-1/2" across. The blade's half-moon shape
makes it particularly useful for chopping food items in a
wooden bowl, possibly for making a hash. It's also great for
chopping fresh herbs on a cutting board.
