Collecting Molding Planes
 


Beginning the cut.   Beginning the cut. With the fence pressed firmly against the work, the plane is held at the required spring angle.
     
Partway through.   Partway through. Notice how the shaving becomes much wider as the profile takes shape.
     
Final finishing cuts.   Final finishing cuts. The blade removes fine shavings as it skims the high points  of the molding. Once the depth stop makes contact, the plane will  stop cutting. This  molding is a small Grecian ogee  with a bevel.
