Dear Lee Valley,
This
is the Louisville Slugger rocker. It is handmade using genuine
Louisville Slugger baseball bats. The bats are taken fresh off
the automatic lathe at the Slugger bat factory in Louisville,
Kentucky. The bats and the rocker are made with American white
ash timber. The contrasting wood is usually cherry or walnut.
It takes 40 to 50 hours to complete one rocker. The finish is
hand-rubbed oil.
Veritas® spokeshaves were used in the making of this chair.
