Hammer With Lubricant Compartment In driving wire nails into hard wood they are not so apt to bend if lubricated with soap. A good way to have the soap always on hand for this purpose is to bore a hole in the end of the hammer handle, as illustrated, and fill it with soap. In driving small brads into hard wood this will be found particularly useful. —Contributed by J.
