Hammer With Lubricant Compartment
In driving wire nails into hard wood they are not so apt
to bend if lubricated with soap. A good way to have the soap
always on hand for this purpose is to bore a hole in the end
of the hammer handle, as illustrated, and fill it with soap.
In driving small brads into hard wood this will be found particularly
useful.
