Dear Lee Valley,
I did a jewellery box practice project since I haven't done
it before. I did one box for my jewel of a tool, the Veritas
medium shoulder plane, which is just such a pleasure to use.
Note the corner joinery where I came up with my version of reinforcing
the mitered corners. I included the process of making it in
my website and blog.

Jewellery Box Practice Project
I made this out of three species of wood from three different
continents: bamboo (Asia), walnut (North America) and marble
wood (South America). A little side note: botanically, bamboo
is a grass. Let me digress for a little bit before getting into
the woodworking part.
