  Garden birds
  Fig. 5. Garden birds.
Excerpt from 50 Popular Woodworking Projects, Algrove Publishing Classic Reprint Series, 2005. (Originally published in 1938.)

These birds produce a colorful effect on the lawn and in the garden. It is for this reason that they are in such favor with many craftsmen. A unique feature of the birds in this book is the loop in the wire standard which gives the impression of a bird standing on a limb, when a small branch is slipped through it.

Editor's Note: This is a reprint of a portion of a book originally published in 1938. It describes what was recommended in accordance with the knowledge and practices of the day. While reading it, please consider this fact.
