Customer Project
Dear Lee Valley,

I thought you might enjoy seeing the workbench I made using your tail and face vises. It has a 3" walnut top and cherry and hickory legs and stretchers.

Customer @allenross2011 sent in this photo of his workbench. Great work!

The wood came from trees on my uncle's farm that my dad and my uncle harvested probably 50+ years ago. It then sat and dried in my dad's workshop for 30+ years. Then when he passed away, it sat and dried in my workshop for another 10 years ... always waiting for "the right project". I've always wanted a quality workbench and finally decided that it would make the right project. I hand planed the top flat using a wooden jointer plane from the Civil War era.

Your vises work superbly and I highly recommend them for anyone. I also have a couple of fine hand saws from you and some marking gauges. Someday, I hope to pick up a couple of your hand planes as well.

Thanks for making such high-quality products ... and for helping me make a very sentimental dream workbench come true.
