These two new tools (made by Veritas®) have a number of things
in common.
Both are primarily made of stainless steel (the plane has an A2 blade, the
gauge has high carbon steel blades, and brass shoes under the lockdown knobs).
Both are small tools, designed to nest in the palm of your hand, or slip
into an apron pocket. They are elegant, well made, and very well priced.
