Designed exclusively for the Festool Domino joiner, these accessory guides
let you quickly set stop positions for accurate and repeatable mortising.
They attach directly to the base of your Domino using the included captive
thumbscrews that thread into the Domino's accessory mounting holes. You
can mount them onto any model of Domino joiner without needing to modify
your machine. Two guide stop models are available, each with stop arms that
flip out of the way when not in use.
The self-centering guide (SCG-10) has a pair of stops that travel in synchronous
movement to always remain centered about the mortise position without the
need to measure. The stops travel in a two-piece sliding dovetail that,
when clamped down, firmly locks the stops in position from 3/4" to
5-1/4" apart. The SCG-10 guide is most suitable when you need to frequently
reposition your stop locations but need only one position at a time.
The multi-position guide stop (MGS-20) uses several stop pairs that can
be set for frequently used mortise positions. The multiple positions can
also be used for offset mortising locations to create a reveal (offset)
between your workpieces. Stops can be set from 3/4" to 5-1/4"
apart and, when used with the included spacing screw, adjacent stop positions
can be as close as 1/16" to each other. The MGS-20 includes two stop
pairs, but additional pairs of stops (sold separately) may be added for
up to six pairs of stop positions. The MGS-20 is most suitable when you
need multiple stop locations simultaneously, or when you have frequently
used stop positions.
The guides are manufactured in the USA from zinc-plated heavy-gauge steel
and anodized billet aluminum with stainless-steel hardware and a hard powder-coat
baseplate finish for durability. These are excellent, well-made guides that
greatly improve speed and accuracy of production work when using a Domino
joiner. |
