 | | As a sequel to our original Thread I.D.® for small fasteners (up to 1/4" / 6mm), we have designed a set for larger Imperial threads and another set for larger metric threads. The Imperial set includes UNC (coarse) and UNF (fine) from 1/4" to 1/2" in diameter. The metric set is for 6mm to 12mm, including common metric coarse, metric fine, and metric extra-fine threads.
Both sets come in steel cases with fitted interiors, clearly identifying nut and bolt combinations. In addition, each thread type has a unique plating color for easy sorting if there is any accidental intermingling.
The steel cases have spring hinges augmented with a magnetic closure so spilling is unlikely. As with all Thread I.D. sets, it is possible to check the size of both external and internal threads, including blind holes. |
