The regular-length hinges are about 3/8" taller. The shorter hinges are suitable for thinner stock.Called rotating connectors, the plated-steel and hardwood hinges are ideal for folding furniture, louvers, or toys — anywhere a pivot joint is needed.
Drill a 3/8" deep hole of the correct diameter, spread a drop of glue on the wall of the hole, and knock in the hinge. The hinge is invisible in use. For glue-bond strength and best fit, we recommend that forstner bits be used for drilling the required flat-bottomed hole.
