   Horror Culture: Mistakes Gardeners Make

Feeding Fish at Improper Times: Pond fish, especially koi, are resilient and can go for long periods without food during the winter. In fact, pond fish cannot digest food properly when the water temperature is below 50º F
(10º C). Feed only fish pellets when temperatures are between 50º F and
65º F (10º C and 18º C), and flakes when temperatures are above 65 ºF
(18º C).

Water temperature affects how pond fish digest food
Gardeners with pond fish should be aware of how water temperature affects how they digest food.

We can all inadvertently practice some form of horror culture. Awareness of the common pitfalls can reduce these errors, and save gardeners time and money.
