Miniature Router Planes

Shown in use

Shown on the previous page are three versions. American company Sargent & Co. manufactured the plane (#73) shown on the left, the earliest of the three, from approximately 1916 to 1941. The second position for the blade, allowing for bullnose work, is at the end of the body. The owner-painted Stanley U.S.A. version (#271), shown in the middle, was manufactured from 1926 to 1973. Stanley U.K still produces this model. The British C. & J. Hampton Record brand (#722), shown on the right, painted their trademark blue color, was discontinued in 1971. Both the Stanley and the Record planes allow for repositioning and reversal of the blade in the body to permit flush cutting.
