Description

Discontinued. Limited stock.

Reliable and easy to use, these shims have been popular in European housing construction for over 40 years. Made from durable polyethylene plastic, they are immune to damp – unlike wood shims, they won’t swell, compress or decay.

The shims won’t split when you drive fasteners through them, and the orange shim has a central slot so you can slide it into position around a fastener that’s already in place. They can be used individually or as a pair of opposing wedges; teeth on their faces interlock to hold them securely at the thickness you set. Projecting ends are easily trimmed with a utility knife or saw. The shims are impressively robust, with a pair of the largest capable of holding more than two tons when all the teeth are engaged.

Made in Denmark.

Sizes listed are maximum thickness by length.
