Michael Hamilton-Clark retired from his career as a civil engineer in 2005, and since then has been designing and turning wood-based jewelry and decorative plates. He works at his Albery Studio in Chilliwack. Michael's pieces are sold through local specialty shops, exhibitions and craft shows. He strives for functionality and flow in his designs, so as to impart a sense of usefulness and aesthetics. He enjoys working with different woods, always seeking to optimize their durability, grain patterns, textures and colors. Michael is a member of the Fraser Valley Woodturners Guild and the Chilliwack Visual Artists Association.

Jim Johnson has lived in the Tri-Cities area since 1990, and has been turning wood since 2006. Jim joined the Greater Vancouver Wood Turner's Guild in the fall of 2007, and has attended many woodturning demonstrations as well as classes. Recently, Jim has been involved in demonstrating woodturning at several venues and has enjoyed sharing his experience with other turners. Although it takes a lot of patience, Jim finds that starting with the tree, selecting wood and properly preparing it for turning to be incredibly satisfying. Jim is an employee of Lee Valley Tools.
