Make a Traditional Saw Bench
Tuesday, April 9, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

A saw bench is a handy piece of shop furniture that makes hand saws much easier to use. The saw bench that you will build will be made to the height you need for effective sawing. This bench can also be used for boring holes with a brace and bit, or as a small assembly surface for projects. Build a second sew bench and add a piece of plywood to create a larger assembly surface. Your saw bench will be made from solid wood with hand tools only so some hand tool skills would be helpful. All tools and materials provided.
Fee: $135.00

Chuck Oliver has been working with wood since the 1960s. Self-taught, he has built homes and owned a contracting firm, but his true passion is fine-detailed woodworking. His completed wood projects include furniture, cabinets, toys, home décor pieces, boats and art pieces. His current interest is working with live edge wood he mills from logs he gathers himself. Chuck enjoys creating projects that use the natural beauty of the tree bark, and showcasing the natural artistry of the woodgrain. (www.Facebook.com/liveedgecraftsman1)
