How to Use Milk Paint
Thursday, April 11, 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Milk paint has been in use for centuries and is a non-toxic, zero VOC (Volatile Organic Compound), virtually odorless paint that is regaining popularity. This session will guide you through the steps required to achieve the color and look that milk paint is known for. You will learn how to blend and apply it to achieve many different finishes, such as subtle semi-transparent coloring that lets the wood figure shine through, a beautiful full color surface that is silky smooth to the touch, a layered antiqued finish on both old and new surfaces, or a worn/distressed surface that makes new furniture look well aged. All tools and materials will be supplied, and you will take home practice panels.
Fee: $40.00

John Hopcraft has been a hobby woodworker for many years, repairing and refinishing old furniture, and, more recently, working on new construction. In 2010, he built and finished a set of kitchen cabinets from quarter-sawn white oak. John works on the premise that developing a consistent method for the entire finishing process is paramount to having a project end well.
