Though uncommon, padlocks with removable shackles are very useful. When separated, the shackle is easier to thread through a hasp or eye, especially one in a confined spot, since it's not limited by the bulk and position of the lock body.
This is a good lock, made in the Czech Republic. It has a steel body and locking mechanism that is highly resistant to wear, dirt, moisture and corrosion – a shot of silicone-based lubricant once a year is all that is needed to keep everything working as it should.
This bow-shackle padlock has a larger inner radius for good clearance when connecting items such as heavy-gauge chain links. The inside height of the shackle measures 1 1/4". It comes with three keys.
