Dear Lee Valley,
may be interested in my version of the rocking horse plan you
sell. It's a little more three dimensional than the plan suggests.
The mane and tail are made of sheep skin, and the saddle is
padded rabbit fur. The body of the horse is white pine —
a one-piece board 3" thick by 32" wide that was given
to me by a friend who had it hanging around in his shop for
about 40 years. The rocker is black walnut from a log my dad
picked up and had sawn into boards some 30 years ago. I still
had some left over.
The grandkids like it a lot.
