Creating a tool cabinet is a quick and easy process with these drawer trays. It is also an inexpensive process since no slides are needed.
Before assembling the cabinet carcass, just run a series of 1/4" deep saw kerfs (1-1/4" apart) across the interior of the side pieces. After carcass assembly, the trays slide easily into the prepared kerfs. All kerfs are hidden by virtue of the wide drawer fronts.
A key advantage is that each drawer is an exact vertical multiple of its smaller counterparts, keeping the same interval between the drawers. For example, a 3" tray can be swapped for three 1" trays or one 1" and one 2" tray.
All drawers are 10-3/8" wide (not counting flanges) and 12" long. The 1" and 2" trays are made from formed steel 0.027" thick; the 3" tray is 0.040" thick. All are painted with red powder coat for durability. Patented.
The natural cork liner, 1/16" thick and easily cut to size, makes an ideal liner for these drawers. Affix using spray adhesive, contact cement or rubber cement.
