These chairs are a direct reflection of the work done by William Morris in England in the early 1900s. They are also influenced by the work of Gustav Stickley in America. Both chairs feature quadrilinear leg post construction. These posts have four quarter-sawn oak boards mitered and then glued, a technique that best displays the oak's ray fleck. The instructions explain three different methods of leg construction. Each chair plan includes a footstool plan.
Chairs are 40" high by 36" wide and 42" deep.
