| Flexcut has long been known for high-quality carving tools. The blades,
made from high-carbon spring steel hardened to Rc55-58, take and hold an
edge exceptionally well, and are supplied fully honed and ready for use.
Each of these sets includes an assortment of interchangeable blades that
friction-fit into quick-change palm-style handles that have been ergonomically

The beginner set includes three blades and a 2" palm handle
made of ash. As a practice project for beginners, a basswood blank is included
for carving a matchstick holder in the shape of a cowboy boot (about 3-1/4”
tall when completed). Complete project instructions, as well as general
carving techniques and sharpening methods are detailed in the manual and
38-minute companion DVD (English only).
The 11-piece set includes ten blades and a 3-1/4" ABS palm handle
with a textured soft urethane grip. A suede-texture vinyl tool roll and
a 5-1/2" x 3-1/2" carving blank printed with a relief-carving
pattern of a leaf design are also included, along with a manual that gives
step-by-step project instructions and general carving and sharpening advice.
The 21-piece set, supplied in a fitted wooden box, consists of 16
blades, a 3-1/4" ABS palm handle, a 4-1/2" palm handle made of ash, and
a cutting knife (6" overall with an ergonomic ash handle and fixed 1-3/16"
blade, hardened to Rc52-54). It also comes with a wooden strop (with multiple
profiles to match the included blades) and honing compound, as well as a
90-minute instructional DVD (English only) demonstrating a wide range of
carving and sharpening techniques. It even includes a refillable plastic
dispenser containing four adhesive bandages, just in case! |
