This is the book that gave rise to the many carving curiosities that can frequently be found in antique stores. It contains illustrations and instructions for various puzzles, caged balls, the ever-popular arrow through a block, as well as a range of wooden tools, including pliers and scissors made from a single piece of wood. Less common projects such as ships in bottles and fans are also included.

It is a classic book on the pastime of whittling. Altogether it describes some 19 projects in its 91 pages. Softcover, Smyth sewn, 5" x 7". Originally published in 1930. Reprinted in 2000 as part of our Classic Reprint Series.
