Anyone who has difficulty with knots will appreciate these simple devices. Shaped like the number nine, they allow you to quickly tighten rope and release it with equal ease.
Available in regular and carabiner versions, either of which can be used at rope end or mid-way to tension and secure a load. The carabiner model adds a spring clip for quick attachment to a D-ring or screw eye. Cast from aluminum alloy, the regular tensioner is approximately 3" long by 2-1/4" wide, and the carabiner style is about 4-3/8" long by 2-3/8" wide. Both have a load rating of 150 lb (67.5kg), and accept rope from 1/8" to 3/8" in diameter. Instructions are laser engraved on the surface for reference.
Available individually or with a 25' hank of 1/4" multi-filament polypropylene rope (assorted colors), these little tools greatly simplify rope attachments.
