Steel Strips for Sharpening

PSA-backed micro-abrasives can be applied to wooden paddles for honing, but these 0.035" thick tempered steel strips are better for several reasons.

First, their rigidity and slim profile provide better access and control when honing drill or router bits where original relief angles must be maintained. Wrapping an abrasive around the edge also allows for intricate honing in tight profiles. The 3/4"x6" strips can also be set with a bend for curved shapes. They are handy around any shop.
