Walker takes you step by step through the creation of a simple scene while teaching composition and design, veneer selection for ease of cutting and permanence of color, pattern making, proper knife technique, correcting mistakes, gluing up (with or without a press), and applying the finish. Numerous "Jan's Tips" emphasize important details and point out how to avoid pitfalls.
