About Veritas seconds: this stock of our router plane (05P3801) has some minor cosmetic flaw – a scratch, a pit in the casting or tiny blemishes – but the plane is functionally perfect. Quantities of seconds are limited and expected to sell out quickly.
An invaluable tool for work on stopped or through dadoes and grooves, or for any work that requires an area cut to a precise depth such as inlay or intarsia work. The blade can be positioned in front of or behind the post, and can also be used laterally (left or right) for work on hinge gains.

- Ductile cast iron body has been accurately machined and ground flat
- Blade depth (up to 1") regulated by a fine screw feed for precise adjustment; a spring-loaded blade-clamping collar holds the blade in position when the collar is loosened
- Includes two high-carbon steel cutters: a two-piece 1/2" straight blade and a two-piece 1/2" spear-point blade, plus a blade-sharpening jig
