If you have a lot of cabinet hardware to install, this set saves a lot of time and frustration, helping achieve precise, professional-looking results. It includes three jigs used to mount hinges, knobs, pulls and drawer slides, along with a pair of sturdy clamps used to hold the jigs in position while you work.

The European hinge jig lets you drill 35mm cup holes for European-style hinges without having to lay out the center of each hole. Indexing cams accurately set the jig 3mm to 6mm from the door edge (depending on the backset of the hinges), with metric and Imperial scales to reference the jig from the top or bottom of the door. Simply clamp the jig base in place, insert the guide, and drill tidy, accurately placed holes using the integral 35mm × 3/8" shank carbide-tipped drill bit. An adjustable stop collar sets the depth. Removing the drill guide reveals pilot-hole guides for hinge screws (1/16" bit not included).

The hardware jig reduces time and risk of error when drilling mounting holes for cabinet knobs and pulls. The fence lets you offset the jig from a workpiece edge (from 1" to 5" in 1/8" increments and from 25mm to 115mm in 5mm increments). To set it in the other axis, simply align the window in the jig with a marked centerline on the work. A single drill guide is used for knobs; for pulls, stops let you set two guides at standard spacings (2 1/2" to 5" in 1/2" increments, as well as 64mm, 96mm and 128mm). A hardened-steel bushing in each guide holds a 3/16" or 4.5mm bit (not included), so you can consistently drill straight, accurately placed holes.

The slide-mounting brackets serve as an extra pair of hands when installing drawer slides for face-frame or frameless construction. Clamped at the front of the cabinet, they hold the slides level with the face frame or a marked line inside the cabinet carcass as you install them. To mount the slides to the drawer box, reverse the brackets to face outward, set the drawer on the brackets, then extend the slides and fasten them. Supplied as a pair of (left and right) brackets, they work for any 3/4 or full-extension slides, or for installing the cabinet component of under-mount slides.

To secure the jigs and prevent them from shifting while you work, the set also includes a pair of sturdy steel jig clamps with comfortable molded handles. Each has a 2" reach and clamps material up to 2 1/4" thick.

All jigs and clamps are made in the USA by Kreg.
