Nut Chopper

We were recently alerted to a safety concern on the nut chopper we sold between December 2018 and October 2019. On some units, the threaded neck of the clear reservoir may be susceptible to cracking or breakage in use. This poses a risk of plastic bits contaminating food and being ingested. Although no injuries have resulted, we felt it important to inform our customers that this product does not meet our safety standards.

As a precautionary measure, we removed the nut chopper from sale and notified past purchasers we identified from our records.

If you purchased a nut chopper between December 2018 and October 2019 and have not heard from us, we request that you cease using the product and contact us; one of our Customer Service representatives will be happy to assist you.

This is the best way we’ve found to chop nuts. Not only safer than using a knife, it’s tidier too, keeping the chopped nuts contained in the bottom so they don’t scatter to the four corners of your cutting board (and beyond).

Unlike a food processor, which can leave some nuts whole while grinding others too fine, it yields pieces of a relatively consistent size. The blades, driven by a simple hand-crank mechanism, make quick work of chopping a range of hard and soft nut types, and a non-slip ring on the base keeps it from sliding around on a counter while you turn the handle.

Graduated to 1 1/2 cups for easy reference, the container unscrews from the chopper with a half-turn so you can dispense the chopped nuts as needed.
