Mirka DEROS 6" Random-Orbit Electric Sander, 2.5mm Orbit, with Systainer Case

With its 2.5mm oscillation pattern, this random-orbit sander is great for finishing but can still remove stock if required. Like the more aggressive 5mm-orbit version that we also offer, it has a compact, ergonomic design, so it’s comfortable to operate for long sessions, and its 6" diameter platen lets you work quickly over large areas.

Powered by a 14' grounded cord, its 350W brushless motor performs comparably to a 500W conventional motor, yet at only 4" tall and weighing 1kg (2 lb 3 oz), the sander is easy to handle. It has a noise rating of 71 dB as well as low vibration output (2.4m/s²) and pairs with the myMirka app to monitor long-term vibration exposure.

Compatible with a range of Mirka discs, it lets you select from a full line of abrasive types and grits to match the application.

Effectively dust-free in use, it has a rear port for connection to a 1" diameter vacuum hose, and a pattern of holes in the platen that draws dust from across the entire sanding disc.

In variable-speed mode, the upper control paddle lets you adjust speed on the fly without interrupting your work; pressing the paddle increases the rpm, and a lighter squeeze slows the motor. In fixed-speed mode, you can lock in any of five settings within its 4000 to 10,000 rpm range, with the paddle serving as an on/off switch to stop the tool within seconds.

A small sample of Mirka abrasive discs and a platen protector are included to get you started.
