E.C. Emmerich Dovetail Plane

Accurate and efficient, this sliding dovetail plane has changed little through the centuries. Guided by integral fences, it has a wedged high-carbon steel blades (hardened to Rc58) that is quickly and easily adjusted.

With a sole sloped 10°, the plane cuts a tail up to 1 1/4" long with a maximum shoulder depth of 7/8". It lacks a depth stop, but this allows you to fine-tune the fit for a hand-cut socket.

It has a European beech body with durable hornbeam sole and a scoring spur to reduce tear-out on cross-grain work. Overall length is 9 1/2".

Made in Germany by E.C. Emmerich to its usual high standards.
