Used in a router, hand drill or drill press, this bit bells the bottom 1/2" of a blind hole to a 4° angle. This lets you fox-wedge a tenon easily and guarantees a mechanical lock.

• 1/4" diameter shank acts as a self pilot, ensuring a consistent bell
• For any blind hole 5/16" in diameter or larger
• Repair an existing mortise and tenon joint or prepare a new joint for “foxlocking”; particularly useful in chair making
