Used in Europe since 1948, these knitted mesh market bags are made in France by a textile company that has been producing cord and nets for more than 160 years. Although the 100% cotton mesh is machine woven, each bag is sewn by an individual technician whose name appears on the bag’s label.
Lightweight and strong, the woven mesh has the ability to stretch and expand considerably, making the bag an effective carryall for everything from groceries to beach towels and clothing. You can see contents at a glance through the mesh and, when not in use, the bag can be rolled or folded small enough to conveniently tuck into a purse or car glove box.
Available in a green short-handled version for carrying by hand and a natural-color bag with longer handles for over the shoulder. Machine washable.
