Description

One of the key advantages to track saws is built right into the track – the sacrificial strip that becomes the cursor used to ensure you cut exactly where you want. This jig simplifies the process of setting up a new saw (or a different-width blade) for use with your existing track, without having to replace the sacrificial strip. For those who use more than one saw, this avoids the trouble of having a separate track for each; it also spares the extra expense of purchasing a new sacrificial strip if you decide to upgrade your saw.

Simply clamp the jig to a stable surface and take a pass with the original saw that was paired with the track you are using, cutting through the jig's sacrificial fence. The jig is now set to that saw's exact offset, serving as a reference you can use to adjust any other saws to the same track as the original saw. With the next saw clamped to the jig, you can adjust its blade offset so it sits flush to the trimmed fence (consult the owner’s manual for your saw to reset the blade correctly).

Once the blade is locked in the new position, both saws can be used interchangeably with the same track and with the same accuracy.

Made in Canada from Baltic birch plywood with a maple fence and aluminum components.
