Maintenance & Safety
Little maintenance is required for the planer. Here a few pointers about keeping the machine in good shape and safety reminders.

To help feeding, apply a coat of paste wax to the bed and tables periodically (Photo 7). If the cutters become dull or damaged, rotate or replace them as necessary.

As a reminder, always wear hearing protection when operating the planer. Also support long lumber with infeed and outfeed roller stands, and lastly unplug the machine before performing any maintenance tasks or changing cutters.
