This casting resin is for deep pours, such as river tables or encapsulated objects.* Its curing process generates less heat than other formulations, which helps reduce shrinkage and distortion. It also lets trapped air escape readily, reducing the chance of bubbles remaining in the cured resin or the need to fill voids caused by bubbles migrating to the surface.
The cured resin is water-clear with no optical distortion and can be tinted with EcoPoxy liquid and metallic pigments. You can also sprinkle EcoPoxy glitter on the wet surface for accent effects.
Mix ratio is two parts resin to one part hardener by volume. This resin cures at temperatures of 20° to 25°C (68° to 77°F), has a working time of 8 to 12 hours, and can be de-molded in 3 to 4 days. It can be machined after about a week, with full cure achieved in 7 to 14 days. Suitable pour depths range from 1/2" to 1 1/2" per layer, up to a total of 30 litres.
For indoor projects only. Shelf life is up to 2 years unopened when stored at 15° to 25°C (59° to 77°F), and about 3 months once opened.
Made in Canada.
*Use FlowCast SPR for shallow pours.
